With sustainability being at the heart of AM Eyewear, not only do we sell great sunglasses, optical frames and lenses, we also offer a variety of services not offered in most optical practices. This include:
REGLAZING
Your prescription may have changed, but your favourite frame doesn't have to. Unlike many optical practices, we'll fit new prescription lenses into your existing frames, no matter how old.

As an optical company first, every lens we fit comes with premium coatings as standard, not an add on.

If you have optical extras, you will be able to use your health fund for glasses or prescription sunglasses in-store. We accept all major Australian health funds, making it easy to claim your optical benefits on designer eyewear, premium prescription lenses and sunglasses.

No, an appointment is not necessary. You are welcome to walk in at any time during our opening hours, and our specialist team will be on hand to guide you through our range and help you select the frames and lenses that best suit your face shape, style and needs.
Yes. If you have placed an order online, you can select in-store collection from our Darlinghurst location. We’ll notify you once your order is ready.
Yes. Bring your frames and proof of purchase into the store and our team will help you exchange them, in line with our returns policy.
Yes. We offer complimentary adjustments on AM Eyewear frames so your glasses sit comfortably and correctly.
There is metered street parking on and around William Street, plus plenty of parking at the back lane (Premier Lane). Don't hesitate in calling us if you need any further direction.
LENSES & PRESCRIPTIONS
We don’t provide eye tests or optometry services in-store. However, all you need is a current prescription from your optometrist; and our team will take care of the rest!
Absolutely. Your prescription is your personal health information, and you can request a copy from your optometrist or eye care provider. Simply contact their practice by phone or email and once you have your prescription, our team can help you choose your frames and best suitable lenses.
We offer a range of prescription lens options designed around your needs, including single vision, multifocal lenses and premium lens coatings. Our team can help recommend the best option based on your prescription, lifestyle and frame choice.
Yes. Every AM Eyewear sunglass and optical frame can be fitted with prescription lenses.

Where possible, we can replace worn or damaged components to help extend the life of your eyewear. Bring your frames into our store and our team can assess what options are available.
Yes. Our refurbishment service helps restore and refresh your existing eyewear through repairs, refinishing and replacement components where possible. We believe longevity is sustainability, keeping quality eyewear in use for longer.
